A message for up & coming artists at the end.

Read through, and YES, pay the $4.99 a month to read it all (if you haven’t yet)…I promise you won’t regret it.

To those that are now paid subscribers, I appreciate you more than you know, and will continue serving you proudly (and loudly).

Remembered forever > viral moment

Listen, if you’re reading today, and you make music, just know I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT YOU (well not really sorta)…I’ve got nothing but respect for those hustling to get better, honing their craft, putting it all on the line to grow as artists & navigate this shit show…I know it’s hard, and I do have empathy for you (not to be confused with sympathy).

I AM however, talking directly to the artists (none of whom read this) that sell out arena’s, but choose to release albums of LITERAL dog shit…demos, that could’ve gone the distance, but were instead released halfway done…fuckin iPhone recordings, sonic garbage if you will.

When you’ve got money, and connections, and god given talent…but don’t use it all (together) to make an album?? ONE WORTH REMEMBERING?? ONE THAT SOUNDS GOOD?? Why??

Like i’ll put it this way…Led Zeppelin gave me Led Zeppelin IV, tracks like “Black Dog” & “When The Levee Breaks,” where Jon Bonham casually reinvented how the world would play (and record) drums forever…

Thriller sold 100 million copies, because IT FUCKIN SOUNDED GOOD.

This conclusion can be drawn from every genre, across the board….

Quality lives forever.
